Friends

Proverbs 18:24

A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

This verse has been playing in mind few days now.

Hands up any who do not want friends like that? Hahaha. I think I have friends like that. I think. From my past. Who grew up together, knew each other enough to give (and take!) criticism to spur each other on..!

Just thankful to God for those in life who've stuck closer than blood relatives... there've been some here and there over the years - male and female! Never sometimes taken them for granted.

But here I say, Thank you!

And I'm reminded - to have a friend, you gotta be a friend!

These kin have been my benchmark for new friendships... and many fall short. And I've oft wondered - should I lower the bench?

Friends, they sure don't make them like they used to eh?

I miss the good old days...........
